The 5th annual workshop of WTlab of Ferdowsi, University of Mashhad, simultaneous with 3rd International Conference on Computer and Knowledge Engineering (ICCKE 2013) is held on October 30th and 31st.
Semantic Web Programming
Due to the importance of the semantic web as one of the most active fields of study, it’s important enough to know the semantic web programming style and its features. In this workshop, first, the semantic web will be briefly introduced and then, semantic web programming framework will be discussed along with its components, advantages, challenges and related tools. In the end, an example application will be implemented so that discussed topics would be review in a practical situation.

Natural Language Processing
The first step to process any type of data is to recognize its nature. Because of this, we review the theories of language philosophy in NLP introduction. Theses theories help us to get a good understanding of problem-solving difficulties. But what we understand from natural language is different from what happens when we process it. Another word, according to the philosophy of language, there is a big difference to be well recognized between processing a language and the language itself. After recognizing these needs, it can be said that there are two types of language processing: online and offline. Each of these has its unique uses which we will talk about and discuss. We need a practical data structure to use online natural language processing methods, and even processing a huge volume of data offline. Use cases and new views of the NLP field can be counted as the main motivation to proceed in this difficult path. By knowing this field and predicting its future well enough, we can choose its uses carefully and traverse a good path in it.
