It has the refrain: "Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?"Ar-Rahman is often regarded as the 'beauty of the Quran', in accordance with a hadith: Abdullah ibn Mas'ud reported that the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said, "Everything has an adornment, and the adornment of the Qur'an is Surah ar Rahman" [Bayhaqi in Shuab al Eiman]The main theme of the Surah is giving manifestation and fruits to the attribution of Allah's mercy and grace, which is evident right from the beginning, till the very end.

(آيه اول). سوره رحمان، در خطابى به جن و انس، از آفرينش جهان و از نعمتهاى فراوان و گوناگون خدا در دنيا و بهشت و نيز از عقوبتهاى اهل دوزخ، سخن گفته است و با تكرار 31 بار آيه «فباى آلاء ربكما تكذبان» در اين سوره نسبتا كوچك مىپرسد كه به كدام يك از نعمتهاى پروردگارت تكذيب مىكنيد؟! و اين سوره در زبان ائمه به «عروس قرآن» معروف بوده است. 78 آيه دارد. اين سوره را بعضى مكى و بعضى مدنى دانستهاند.
